HARTFORD CITY, IN : Ambulance crash victims remain hospitalized on Tuesday, 26th November, 2019
Four people injured Monday when an ambulance collided with a semi-tractor trailer in Blackford County remained hospitalized on Tuesday.
According to Blackford County Sheriff Jeff Sones, the IU Health-Lifeline ambulance driven by Shawn Blair, 40 of Selma, was in the process of transferring a patient – from IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie – when the accident took place shortly after 10 a.m.
The sheriff said a southbound 2007 Freightliner semi driven by Scott E. Townsend, 52, Hartford City, was in the process of making a left turn onto Blackford County Road 300-S when the collision occurred.
