Roanoke, VA : 1 killed, 1 injured in Franklin County crash on Wednesday, 14th March 2018

One person was killed and another injured after a single-vehicle crash in Franklin County Wednesday, state police said.

A 2007 Dodge Caliber was traveling north on Virginia 640 (6 Mile Post Rd.) near Virginia 800 (Waid Rd.), between Rocky Mount and Ferrum, when it ran off the roadway and struck a sign and then a tree shortly before 1 p.m., Sgt. Rick Garletts said.
