A Cape Coral driver and a Fort Myers passenger in his car were seriously injured Monday in a crash on Interstate 75 in Charlotte County.
A report from the Florida Highway Patrol said Victor Woodard, 56, of Cape Coral, was driving a 2013 Ford Transit van in the northbound center lane of I-75 and drove into the side of a 2018 Freightliner semi rig in the northbound right lane ahead of him.
The right side of the van struck the left rear of the semi, driven by Manuel Reyes, 62, of Miami.
The van overturned, hit a barbed wire fence and two pine trees.
