Columbus, GA : Woman killed in single-vehicle crash on Wednesday, November 30th 2016

A 31-year-old Verbena, Ala. woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday.

A report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Elizabeth Ellis Wood died when the 2002 Nissan Xterra she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree around noon.

Wood, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 31 at the 204 mile marker approximately 10 miles north of Prattville, Ala.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating.
