OAKLAND COUNTY, MI : Crash in I-75 construction zone leaves 1 dead, 3 others injured on Saturday, 13th April 2024

One person died and three others were injured after a minor hit-and-run crash in the southbound I-75 construction zone in Oakland County turned into a more serious incident Saturday.

Michigan State Police say four vehicles were involved in the initial hit-and-run crash on southbound I-75 near Holly Road in Springfield Township around 1:15 p.m.

The Michigan Department of Transportation closed the northbound lanes of I-75 between M-15 in Clarkston and Dixie Highway at the Genesee-Oakland county line, so northbound traffic has moved to the southbound side.

Two lanes are open in each direction on the southbound side of the freeway where the crash occurred.
