Milwaukee, WI : 8-year-old boy dies after crash at 39th and Hadley streets on Friday night, May 27, 2016
Police are still looking for two teens who left the scene of a double fatal crash at 39th and Hadley streets on Friday.
Family told WISN 12 News on Monday that an 8-year-old boy in the back seat of the car struck by an SUV had died Sunday.
The woman who died at the scene of the crash has been identified as Dainelle Triggs, better known to loved ones as Peaches.
Her sister, Laurice Triggs, said the family is broken and looking for help and closure.
Friday was supposed to be a day of fun. They were taking four children to the park when the driver of an SUV stolen from a Racine dealership about a month ago slammed into their car.
The driver and passenger in the SUV left the scene on foot.
Since the crash, family members have been keeping vigil at Children's Hospital, where three children remain.
"You've seen others who've gone through trauma, but to be in it, it takes your breath away. Your life stops," Laurice Triggs said. "There is no tip too small. There is no information we cannot use. There is nothing you can do that will not help, and we need your help."
The family has a GoFund Me account set up to help with expenses, which are adding up. A vigil is being held around 7 p.m. Monday night at the scene of the crash.
"I don't think we'll be better until we have someone in custody and someone comes forward for this," Laurice Triggs said.
