VALLEJO, CA : 92-year-old woman, hurt in crash at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Lighthouse Drive on Thursday, 8th August 2019

A 92-year-old woman who was injured in a weekend crash has died, police announced Thursday night.The woman’s name was not released.Police responded at approximately 4:45 a.m. Sunday to a call of an injury crash at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Lighthouse Drive.

Officers who arrived at the scene found that a 2011 Lexus sport utility vehicle, with two people inside, had been traveling southbound on Wilson Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway near the intersection of Lighthouse Drive and crashed head-on with a traffic signal pole.

Both occupants were transported to a local hospital.The 92-year-old woman, a Vallejo resident and mother of the driver, sustained life-threatening injuries during the crash, police reported early this week. The female driver, a 58-year-old Vallejo resident, had minor injuries.
