Bay Shore ,NY : 24-year-old Motorist critically injured after car crash on early Tuesday morning ,August 4th 2015

A motorist is hospitalized in critical condition after police say he lost control of his car on Long Island.

James Kennedy, of West Babylon, was driving in Bay Shore when he crashed into a wooded area and struck a fence early Tuesday morning.

Police say he was "partially ejected" from the car. It happened on Montauk Highway and Gardiner Drive.

The 24-year-old driver was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

His Ford sedan was impounded for a safety check.
