LAS VEGAS, NV : Driver arrested following fatal hit-and-run in east Las Vegas on Tuesday, 9th January 2024

A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run that happened in the east Las Vegas valley on Tuesday night.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred on East Tropicana Avenue, west of Rollingwood Circle, around 5:29 p.m.

Witnesses and evidence at the scene, as well as video of the collision, would indicate that a 2017 Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound on Rollingwood while a pedestrian was crossing Tropicana outside of a marked crosswalk.

Police say the collision occurred when the pedestrian was struck by the Toyota, which failed to remain at the scene.
