Gastonia, NC : Tractor-trailer wreck shut down part of U.S. 321 in Gaston on Thursday, 26th April 2018

A fiery wreck between two tractor-trailers shut down a portion of U.S. 321 North near Hardin Road Thursday morning and created traffic headaches well past 1 p.m..

The wreck occured just after 6 a.m. although the Highway Patrol was still diverting traffic off at the Hardin Road exit in northern Gaston County near the Lincoln County line after 1:30 p.m.

One person was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center following the wreck with serious injuries.
