Detroit, MI : Southbound I-75 in Detroit reopens after crash on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2014
A stretch of southbound Interstate 75 in Detroit has reopened following a multi-vehicle crash and fuel spill that snarled traffic during the morning rush hour period.
Authorities say the crash happened overnight at a bridge over the Rouge River, leaving fuel on the roadway on Wednesday morning.
The freeway was closed at the Springwells Street exit and alternate routes were advised during the shutdown. Backed-up traffic stretched for miles.
