Knoxville, TN : 29 - Years old man Killed after ice caused a fatal wreck in East Knox County on Monday , February 16th 2015

A Knoxville man is dead after ice caused a fatal wreck in East Knox County Monday according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

A THP report states 29-year-old Joseph Hampton died when his Nissan Altima hit a patch of ice on Andrew Johnson Highway, sliding into the opposite lane in front of oncoming traffic.

A Jeep Wrangler hit Hamilton's car on the driver side. 29-year-old Krista Hampton was in the car as well, but only suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
