Little Rock, AR : Multiple crashes hit the roads on Oahu on Sunday, December 18th 2016

Oahu saw multiple crashes across the island on Sunday, including one involving a man jumping off of the freeway.

The earliest crash took place at around 4 a.m. on Waialae Ave. Emergency Medical Services treated and transported a 23-year-old man in serious condition to a trauma center after he crashed his vehicle into a light pole.

Just before 5 a.m., another accident occurred on the H-1 Freeway prior to the Waikele off-ramp. HPD shut down three lanes for two hours as they investigated the scene.

A 29-year-old male driver was treated and transported to a trauma facility in serious condition after he apparently attempted to flee the scene by jumping off of the freeway. He feel approximately 100 feet into a ravine. The other driver, 30 years old, sustained minor injuries and refused treatment.

At around 6:30 a.m., a 27-year-old male driver collided with a utility pole at the intersection of Waipio Uka Boulevard and Kamehameha Highway. He was transported to a trauma center in serious condition.
