Brevard County,FL : Jamaican teen killed in Florida crash on July, Monday 17th 2017

A 15 year-old boy from Jamaica was killed and seven others taken to the hospital following a car crash in Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it happened late Sunday night on Highway 192 near the Osceola-Brevard county line.

Troopers said a 40 year-old woman of Royal Palm Beach, Florida was driving about 11:50 when a tire blew out on her Toyota SUV. She lost control of the vehicle which overturned.

The teenager, who has been identified as Travis Bernard, from Montego Bay, St. James, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Three adults suffered serious injuries.

The driver, another adult and two teenagers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers said the driver and one of the passengers were the only ones wearing a seat belt.
