Police say a man in Philadelphia was killed overnight after his speeding car jumped a curb and smashed into trees and street lights before bursting into flames.

Police say the 2014 Infiniti sedan came to rest against a building early Wednesday.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small says the vehicle was so damaged "it's hard to even tell that it was a car."

He says the car was full of McDonald's products including hundreds of gift cards, cups and electronic devices from the burger chain. He says McDonald's-related debris littered the accident scene.

Police have not identified the victim.

The crash remains under investigation.
