Natchitoches Parish, LA : Six people seriously injured in Car-truck collision on Tuesday November 10 2015
Two children were seriously injured and 4 other people, including another child, also were hurt when a car and pickup collided in Natchitoches Parish.
It happened at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 10 on Louisiana Highway 156 near Creston Baptist Church in Creston, authorities say. That's about 18 miles north of Natchitoches.
Alexis M. Alsup, 25, of Winnfield, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala west on state Hwy. 156 when it crossed the center line and collided with a 2012 Dodge pickup being driven by Tanya S. Rowe, 45, of Creston, said Master Trooper Daniel "Scott" Moreau, spokesman for Louisiana State Police Troop E.
A 1-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl who were in Alsup's car were flown to University Health in Shreveport for treatment of serious injuries. Alsup and another 6-year-old girl who also was in her vehicle were taken to a Natchitoches hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Rowe and passenger Ernest F. Graves, 46, of Creston, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a Natchitoches hospital for treatment.
Authorities have cited for Alsup for driving left of center.
Routine toxicology tests are pending.
