Burke County, GA : Burke County crash near Highway 23 knocks down power pole on Friday, 28th February, 2020

A single vehicle crash near Highway 23 in Burke County has knocked down a power pole and injured three people.

Live power lines are reported down at Griffin Landing Road and motorists are asked to avoid the area, a news release from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office states. The vehicle’s occupants suffered minor injuries, the release states.

The sheriff’s office and Burke EMA Fire & Rescue are on the scene and Griffin Landing Road has been closed. Georgia Power has been notified about the downed wires.
