A Tulsa man was killed early Sunday in single-vehicle wreck after he failed to negotiate a curve on a stretch of scenic highway in Mayes County.
About 2:25 a.m., Dockie Kosier, 46, was driving on Alternate U.S. 412, about 2 miles west of Locust Grove, when he came upon a curve and departed the roadway, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The vehicle overturned and struck a tree, the report states. Kosier was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kosier’s condition at the time of the crash is unknown, and troopers are still investigating the wreck. It’s unclear if he was wearing a seat belt, the report states.
