Whitehall, AL : Ala. man, teen killed in motorcycle crash in Lowndes County on Saturday night, July 5, 2014

Alabama state troopers say a man and a teenager have died in a motorcycle crash in Lowndes County.

Alabama Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve Jarrett said in a statement that 21-year-old Jeffrey Sawyer and 13-year-old Zackary Smith of Greenville died Saturday night when the motorcycles they were riding collided near Whitehall.

Jarrett says the two weren't wearing helmets and the crash is under investigation. Whitehall is about 30 miles west of Montgomery.
