Police have released the name of the 2-year-old boy who was killed when his mother's car crashed off a central New York road.
The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Molly LeFebvre of Cazenovia in neighboring Madison County was driving around 6:30 p.m. Thursday when her car left the road, went down into a culvert and hit an embankment in the town of Pompey (PAHM'-pee), about 10 miles southeast of Syracuse.
Deputies say her son, Troy LeFebvre, was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived on the scene. He was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
His mother suffered minor injuries.
Deputies say the boy was restrained in a child safety seat at the time of the crash.
