POWNAL, VT : Woman cited for DUI after Pownal crash on Monday, 23rd April 2018

A woman was cited with driving under the influence after a single-car crash on Barber Pond Road on Monday afternoon, according to Vermont State Police.

Michele A. Haskins, 60, of Pownal was driving east near Middle Pownal Road just before 1:30 p.m. when her SUV left the roadway and collided with a number of mailboxes and a utility pole, troopers said in a news release. The pole was knocked down during the collision.

Police said Haskins was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and did not report any injuries, but was still taken by the Pownal Rescue Squad to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
