Oak Grove, KY : I-24 wreck sends driver, two passengers to hospital on Interstate 24 in the area of Oak Grove near exit 89 on Sunday, 8th December, 2019

A wreck that occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 24 in the area of Oak Grove near exit 89, sent the driver and two passengers to the hospital with injuries after leaving the roadway and overcorrecting, according to a Christian County Sheriff’s report.

The report stated that Lance McCullough,18, Mount Olive, Mississippi, was driving west on I-24 in the left lane when a vehicle into his lane.

McCullough steered away from the vehicle, causing him to run off the left side of the roadway. McCullough tried to drive the vehicle back onto the roadway but overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide across both westbound lanes.

The vehicle drove into a ditch on the right side of the road before striking an embankment and coming to a rest.
