Bithlo , FL : 53- Years old Person killed in Crash after his vehicle crossed the median it overturned and hit a tree near Cox Drive on Thursday , January , 15th 2015

East Colonial Drive was partially shut down Thursday morning after a fatal crash in Bithlo, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a 53-year-old Lloyd Parrish Jr. from Edgewater was killed after his vehicle crossed the median, then overturned and hit a tree near Cox Drive.

A motorcyclist had to jump off his motorcycle to avoid a collision. He suffered minor injuries.

All westbound lanes of East Colonial Drive, also known as State Road 50, were closed while troopers worked to clear the wreck.
