Kadoka, SD : Woman killed in a one-vehicle wreck near Kadoka early Sunday, April 3, 2016

One woman was killed and another seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck early Sunday west of Kadoka.

The names of the women were not released pending notification of their families, the South Dakota Highway Patrol said in a news release.

According to the release, the women were traveling eastbound in a Chevy pickup on Interstate 90, 13 miles west of Kadoka shortly before 1 a.m. when the driver lost control. The pickup entered the median and rolled several times. The driver, a 26-year-old woman, was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 38-year-old woman, suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Rapid City hospital, the release said.

Neither woman was wearing a seat belt.
