Kochville Twp, MI : 2 semis, 2 cars crash on northbound I-75 in Saginaw County on Thursday, June 16, 2016
Saginaw County emergency officials were responding to crashes involving two semi tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles on Northbound Interstate 75.
Both incidents happened about 8:51 a.m. Thursday, June 16, near mile marker 156, in the Kochville Township area.
Officials with the Michigan State Police and Saginaw County Sheriff's Office were responding to the crashes.
"It was a semi that jack-knifed in the roadway. A car, northbound, hit that semi truck. Then a second car stopped to check on the crash, the injuries, and a second semi hit the second car that stopped," explained Saginaw County Sheriff's Office Lt. Mike Gomez
"It's all down to one lane, northbound, and if people take 675 to go north, they will avoid that area."
Gomez said people involved in the crashes complained of pain, but apparently suffered no serious injuries.
If possible, motorists should avoid the area.
"It's going to be stop-and-go traffic for a while," he said.
