Anne Arundel County, MD : 3 injured in Glen Burnie crash on Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017
Three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash on Interstate 97 this morning.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies said firefighters were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 97 at the New Cut Road exit at 5:19 a.m.
Responders found one car which had rolled over, Davies said, with one person trapped inside and another who had been ejected from the vehicle. He added he did not know whether the accident was a one- or multiple-vehicle crash.
Davies said one man was extricated from the vehicle in less than 10 minutes and multiple people suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
A 30-year-old man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries, Davies said.
In addition, a 58-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
