Parker ,TX : Weatherford child killed in ATV accident in Parker County on June, Sunday 11th 2017

A 10-year-old boy has died from injuries he suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident near a boat ramp, authorities said Monday.

The child was identified as Jaydon Meals of Weatherford. He died Sunday morning at a local hospital shortly after the accident, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday.

The accident call came in shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Iroquois Trail.

An ATV had overturned at the Horseshoe Bend boat ramp involving a 10-year-old boy, Parker County Sheriff’s Deputy Danie Huffman said in a news release.

Emergency crews performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on the boy at the scene.

He was taken to Weatherford Regional Medical Center where he died, authorities said.
