UA student in died crash near Montgomery Alabama

The University of Alabama student seriously injured in a traffic accident involving a chartered bus carrying UA cheerleaders on Jan. 8 has died.Natalie Baine, 20, of Roswell, Ga., died from her injuries at Baptist Medical Center on Friday, Montgomery Police confirmed Saturday.

Her mother, Janet Korowitz, said on Thursday that Baine was surrounded by family and friends while in the surgical intensive care unit of the hospital.

Baine sustained fatal injuries in the three vehicle collision that occurred the night of Jan. 8 at Western Boulevard and Interstate 65. Students were traveling back to Tuscaloosa from the BCS championship game in Miami.Baine was a passenger in a truck involved in the crash.The accident is still under investigation and no further information is available.
