Fayetteville, NC : One killed in motorcycle crash in Fayetteville on May 6th 2014

The rider of a motorcycle died Tuesday night when his bike collided with a car near the intersection of Murchison and Shaw Roads.

Fayetteville police said the motorcycle was headed east, from the direction of Fort Bragg, and the car was headed west.

All lanes of Murchison Road between Shaw and Shaw Mill roads were closed immediately after the wreck, just before 8 p.m.

Police withheld the identity of the person who died until the next of kin could be told. They had not determined which driver caused the crash.
