GRATIOT COUNTY, MI : Ithaca man dies in rollover crash on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

A 33-year-old man died at the scene of a rollover crash in Gratiot County early Wednesday.

The Gratiot County Sheriff's Office says Matthew Hoffer was driving a pickup truck north on Barry Road in Elba Township around 6:10 a.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve leading to Grenlund Road and went off the roadway.

His pickup truck went into a field and overturned. Hoffer, who was alone in the truck, was pronounced dead on the scene.
