VANDALIA, OH : Man crashes on I-75 in Vandalia after falling asleep at the wheel on Saturday, 5th November 2016

A man crashes on Interstate 75 in Vandalia after falling asleep at the wheel.

The accident happened near U.S. 40 just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

Dayton OSP says the man and his wife were driving south on Interstate 75 when he fell asleep.

He woke up when the car hit a grassy area.

The man then tried to gain control but ended up taking out 100 feet of guardrail before coming to a stop.

Medics checked out the couple who weren’t hurt.

No other cars were involved.

The man was cited for failure to control.
