Harrington, DE: Fourteen Pepole injured in tow truck and car crash on South DuPont Highway at Hammondtown Road in Harrington on Saurday 15h November 2014
The Delaware State Police says the crash happened late Friday on South DuPont Highway at Hammondtown Road in Harrington.
Authorities say a Toyota Prius had come to a stop on Hammondtown Road and was going into the southbound lanes of South DuPont Highway when a tow truck struck it. Authorities say the two drivers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Five children in the Prius ranging in age from 12 to 13 were taken to the hospital. Two had non-life-threatening injuries. The others had undetermined injuries.
The Prius' driver was cited for failure to remain stopped at a stop sign, no proof of insurance and improper child restraints.
