Driver crashed into a pole on Salem Avenue

A driver crashed into a pole on Salem Avenue early Sunday morning and police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor.

The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. A passerby called 911 when they noticed the vehicle crashed in front of Shopkeepr's Village.
The driver was found unconscious in a silver Nissan when police arrived on the scene.

The driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police said they suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
