Great Falls,MT : Man dies in McCone County crash on January, Sunday 28th 2018

A 22-year-old man died in a vehicle crash in eastern Montana's McCone County early Sunday, the Montana Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. near Circle on Montana Highway 252, also known as Weldon Road.

The man was not wearing a seat belt, which was a factor in the fatal crash along with speed and alcohol, the Highway Patrol said.

The man was driving a flatbed pickup southbound and failed to negotiate a corner due to speed, the Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle slid broadside off the road and overturned in a ditch.

The driver was ejected.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, the Highway Patrol said.
