Mobile, AL : Pedestrian killed after being hit by a car on Alabama 193 near Mobile early Tuesday morning, July 19, 2016

A fatal traffic crash early Tuesday (July 19) morning has claimed the life of a man from Mobile.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman, Jamie Maloy said the crash occurred at 2:20 a.m. on Alabama 193 near mile marker 19, two miles south of Mobile.

Pedestrian Lorne Taylor, 40, was killed when he was struck by a 2006 Ford van. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. No more details are available at this time as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
