Leavenworth ,IN : Two people found dead and One injured in overturned car near on Tuesday evening ,July 7th 2015
Two people died and another person was injured when a vehicle ran off a sharp curve west of Leavenworth, Indiana, authorities said Tuesday evening.
The people inside were trapped in the car for several hours Tuesday afternoon, officers at the scene said.
A Leavenworth firefighter on State Road 62 discovered the vehicle overturned and off the right side of the road about 8 p.m., west of Turkey Fork Road. He found an adult woman, alive, trapped in the car at the bottom of a steep hill. She told the firefighter her parents were also in the car and had died after the crash, a sheriff's department news release said.
The Crawford County coroner pronounced the driver, Mable Weaver, 89, and a passenger, Donald Weaver, 82, dead at the scene. It appeared they died of multiple trauma injuries. The Weavers lived in Bloomington, Ind., authorities said. Their daughter, Kimberly Weaver, 57 and also from Bloomington, was hurt and survived with injuries not believed to threaten her life, according to the news release.
