Garvin County, OK: I-35 reopens after Garvin Co. cattle hauler wreck on Wednesday, July 29th 2015

All lanes of northbound Interstate 35 have reopened after a rollover accident this morning involving a cattle hauler semi that closed the highway for five hours
this morning in Garvin County near Paoli, the Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation says.OHP said the rig was hauling about 100 head of cattle, but that none escaped the trailer. Troopers on scene tell us of the 130 animals on board, about 12-15 are dead. A veterinarian also responded to the scene.Authorities on scene tell us the driver fell asleep. He was taken to a hospital in Purcell with minor injuries.The accident happened sometime before 7:30 this morning, and all northbound lanes reopened around 12:30 p.m.
