Duluth, MN : Two women injured after a car crashed into a library in downtown Duluth on Tuesday, February 24, 2015
Two women were transported to a local medical facility for treatment of an apparent overdose of a controlled substance after a car crashed into the side of the downtown Duluth Public Library on Tuesday.
Duluth police said the crash happened at about 3 p.m. when a vehicle rolled through the intersection of Superior Street and Sixth Avenue West, and collided with the building.
The driver and passenger, both 20 years old, were not injured as a result of the crash, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
A couple of panels on the side of the building were hit, but the damage did not appear to be extensive. There was no immediate word on a financial estimate of the damage.
