minor traffic accident on I-95 in Harford County Sunday evening became a major incident after a woman was pinned between the two vehicles involved in the crash afterward and, because of the severity of her injuries, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to police and fire officials.

Cpl. Joseph Wargo, of the Maryland State Police JFK Memorial Highway Barrack in Perryville, identified the injured woman as Debra Marvel, 45, of Columbia.Cpl. She was in serious condition Tuesday afternoon, according to Andrea Baird, a spokesperson for Shock Trauma.

Wargo said Marvel was one of the drivers involved in a "minor property-damage collision" that remains under investigation.
