PHOENIX, AZ : Wrong-way driver causes crash on Loop 202 on Tuesday night July 15th 2014

Highway Patrol officers are investigating a wrong-way crash on the Loop 202.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said that the crash happened after 10 p.m. Tuesday evening on the freeway near Gilbert Road.

Investigators believe that one of the vehicles involved was driving the wrong-way when it struck another vehicle.

The freeway has been closed while the officers conduct an investigation.
