A Greenwood man was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash along U.S. 221 in Greenwood County early Monday morning, according to troopers with the SC Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. near Bradley Street.
Troopers said a 44-year-old man was headed south in a 2007 Dodge when the vehicle ran off the side of the road, struck a tree, overturned and caught on fire.
The man was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, troopers said.
Coroner Sonny Cox identified the victim as Carl Anthony Mosley of East Cambridge Avenue.
Cox said Mosley died from blunt force trauma and classified the man's death as an accident..
