A Vancouver police officer's patrol car was struck in a hit and run crash Tuesday morning, Washington State Police said.
A 1987 Chevrolet Cavalier hit a 2008 Toyota Corolla, pushing the Corolla into a Vancouver police car, state police spokesman Trooper Will Finn said.
The cars crashed at Washington State Route 500 eastbound and Falk Road in Vancouver at about 6:50 a.m., Finn said.
The Cavalier driver left the scene after the crash, Finn said. The car was later found abandoned on Plomondon Street, Finn said.
The Corolla driver, a 24-year-old man from Beaverton, was taken to the hospital for minor back pain, Finn said. The officer was not injured.
Detectives are searching for the Cavalier driver, who may face felony hit and run charges.
