Colchester,VT : Head-on crash in Colchester on July, Tuesday 18th 2017

A head-on crash snarled traffic in Colchester Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on Route 7 in the Sunny Hollow area.

Police say two cars collided. The crash sent three people to the hospital, fortunately, they say no one was seriously hurt.

Colchester Police told us they do not think drugs, alcohol or speed were factors.

"It appears that one of the drivers may have been distracted. We're not 100 percent sure on that, but based on what witnesses are telling us, one of the vehicles drifted into the oncoming lane of traffic for the northbound vehicle," Colchester Police Sgt. Michael Fish said.

The road was closed for an hour and a half while the crash was cleared up. The road has since reopened.
