WILLIAMSOM COUNTY, IL : 1 killed, 3 injured in crash on Route 37 north of Villa Way on Saturday, 22nd October 2022

One person was killed and three others injured in a three-vehicle crash in Williamson County Friday afternoon.

It happened on Illinois Route 37 just north of Villa Way about 3:43 p.m. on Oct. 21.

A 31-year-old woman from Marion, Ill. was driving 2022 gray Dodge sedan southbound on Route 37 just north of Villa Way when she crossed the center line and hit a 2000 white Isuzu truck driven by Richard F. Williamson, 62, of West Frankfort who was traveling north, according to Illinois State Police.

The Marion woman’s vehicle left the road. Williamson’s vehicle was then hit by a red Dodge truck driven by a 16-year-old teen from DuQuoin, according to ISP.

The woman from Marion was pronounced dead at the scene.
