KNOXVILLE, TN : KPD Pedestrian dead after hit-and-run on Magnolia Avenue on Friday, 1st November 2024

A man died after he was hit by a car Friday evening near the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Mary Street. The Knoxville Police Department said the crash was reported at around 7:45 p.m.

In a release, police said responders tried to save the man's life. However, he was later pronounced dead after being transported from the scene. Police said the person who hit him drove away before officers arrived, heading east on Magnolia Avenue.
