Central Lubbock. TX : 1 critically injured when Hummer crashes into Central Lubbock house in the 4400 block of 32nd Street on Thursday, 21st February 2019

One woman is in critical condition after police say she crashed her Hummer into a home Thursday evening in Central Lubbock.

Just after 11:30 p.m., Lubbock police responded to reports that a Hummer crashed into a home in the 4400 block of 32nd Street, said LPD spokeswoman Tiffany Taylor.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 48-year-old woman, was taken to a Lubbock hospital with serious injuries.

According to the initial report, investigators believe the driver was traveling south in the 3200 block of Quaker Avenue and veered off the roadway to the right.

The Hummer continued traveling through a front yard and then struck a home and tree, said Taylor.

Officials say the residents inside the home were not injured.
