Shoshone, ID :Jerome Man Killed in US 93 Crash on Saturday, July 11th 2015

A Jerome Man was killed in a head-on crash Saturday morning on U.S. 93 south of Shoshone.Juan Garcia-Venegas, 67, was thrown from his car and died at the scene, Idaho State Police said.About 6 a.m., Dallas J. Edwards, 20, of Jerome, was northbound on U.S. 93 in a 1995 GMC pickup. He crossed the centerline and his Garcia-Venegas’ 2006 Nissan Altima, striking it head on.Edwards’ pickup overturned and landed on its roof.Garcia-Venegas was thrown from his car and landed on the southbound shoulder. Edwards was taken by helicopter to Saint Alphonsis Regional Medical Center in Boise.Both men were wearing seat belts.U.S. 93 was closed for about five hours.
