SPRING HILL, FL : Middle school principal dies in crash while heading to work on Friday, January 20th 2017

Authorities say a popular Tampa Bay area middle school principal died in a vehicle crash on his way to work.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that the crash occurred Friday morning. Florida Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Adam Kennedy was on his way to Crews Lake Middle School when his pickup truck rear-ended a semitrailer truck carrying a load of logs.

Pasco County Schools spokeswoman Linda Cobbe sent a message to parents informing them of the crash. The school district brought a full crisis team, including counselors and two of the school’s former principals, to the Spring Hill campus to help students and employees.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.
