Union County ,MS : Oxford teen dies after single-vehicle accident in Union County on Wednesday ,July 1st 2015

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating a single-vehicle accident in Union County that claimed the life of an Oxford teen.

Troopers responded to the crash on Mississippi Highway 30 west, near West Union School, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Upon arriving, it appeared Cody Grose, 18, of Oxford, was traveling west bound, in a 2007 GMC 1500, when he apparently ran off the right side of the road, collided with a driveway and overturned several times.

Two passengers in the vehicle and the driver were transported to Baptist Hospital in Oxford, with minor injuries.

A third passenger, Joseph Stribling, 17, of Oxford, was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Union County where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

None of the occupants in the vehicle were wearing a seat belt.
