Adams, MA : Teenager killed and three others injured in a two car crash in Adams on Saturday, April 30, 2016

A teenager was killed and three others injured following a two car crash in Adams over the weekend.

Around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Adams Police were called to the area of North Summer and Staples streets where a 1999 Toyota Corolla traveling north on North Summer, apparently crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2014 Mazada, according to investigating officers.

Upon impact, a 17-year-old passenger in the Toyota was thrown from the vehicle and sustained severe head and neck injuries, later dying of those injuries after being taken to Berkshire Medical Center, police reported. The drivers and another passenger in the Toyota were also taken to BMC by the Adams and North Adams ambulance services; their conditions were unknown as of Sunday night.

Police haven't identified any of the crash victims.

The Massachusetts State Police are assisting the Adams Police Department in determining the cause of the crash.
